Dear athletes, dear guests,
the international „Springertag“ belongs to our beautiful Hanseatic and university city like the Baltic Sea.
For the 65th time, national and international jumpers come to Rostock to hold one of the most renowned competition in jumping.
I am impressed that it has been possible to continue such a long tradition, in exceptional quality, year after year. Many thanks to all involved, because preparing such an event requires a long breath, a lot of patience and great commitment. I do know that many volunteers are passionate about it. They all can be proud of that. I was also very happy to take on the patronage for the International Jumping Day this year.
From 20th February to 23rd February 2020 the time has come again. Title Holders and those who want to become one show their skills with strength and aesthetics; speed and precision. Behind that stands incredible training diligence, discipline and deprivation. I have the greatest respect for all athletes. They accomplish almost unbelievable achievements, astonish and excite the audience. That does deserve the highest recognition!
I am convinced that the 65th International Jumping Day, which enjoys a huge reputation worldwide, will also be a fantastic success in the 30th anniversary year of our beautiful federal state; for the jumpers, organisers, the city of Rostock and for the volunteers of course.
I wish all participants good luck, the best of them the victory and the spectators a lot of fun!
Yours, Manuela Schwesig
Prime Minister of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
